Exploring the Beautiful Madonie Nature Park is our Passion

Madonie Explorers are nature guides with over 10 years of experience working in nature tourism, hiking, and nature education. We adore the great outdoors and it’s our passion to share our enthusiasm and knowledge about Sicily’s stunning Madonie Nature Park with like-minded people.

If you have any questions about us and our tours that you can’t find the answers to here, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

From children to botanists, our excursions are open to all nature lovers.

Madonie Explorers organizes hiking, nature activities, and cultural experiences that connect visitors with local traditions. It’s our goal to champion Sicily’s extraordinary natural beauty in general but with a special focus on the Madonie Regional Natural Park.

The Madonie Nature Park is so incredibly beautiful, its flora and fauna so unique, that we feel we have the best job in the world. While almost anyone would enjoy a jaunt through this exquisite natural paradise, there is so much to learn and appreciate — that’s where our Tours and Excursions in Madonie Natural Park come in!

Meet the Founders of Madonie Explorers

Laetitia Bourget is French. She arrived in Sicily in 2008 after living in Belgium and Spain for a long time. Laetitia instantly fell in love with the beauty of Sicily — especially the Madonie Natural Park. She has been working in nature tourism for more than 10 years — first as a tour leader and now as a nature guide.

Laetitia is a member of the Associazione Lepidotterologica Italiana (ALI) and participates in the citizen science project e-Butterfly Monitoring Scheme (eBMS) with the creation of 2 butterflies monitoring transects in Sicily.

Laetitia speaks perfect Italian, English, Spanish and of course, French.

Mario Cicero is from Castelbuono, Sicily. He has been a nature guide since 2002. Mario is passionate about the unique natural bounty of animal and plant life and he loves nothing more than sharing his knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm with guests.

Mario speaks good English, French, and Spanish, and he is also a manna producer. Manna is harvested from the local ash trees; please click on the link to learn more.
