Meet our guides

We share with you our passion for Sicily’s stunning nature and the beauties of the Madonie Natural Park.

Exploring the Beautiful Madonie Nature Park is our Passion

One day, we decided to live as much as possible in contact with nature… and our passion became our job!
We are naturalist guides with over 15 years of experience working in nature tourism, hiking and environmental education.

From children to experienced hikers, our excursions are open to all nature lovers.

Madonie Explorers organizes hikes, multi-day treks, nature activities and cultural experiences that connect visitors with local traditions. It’s our goal to is share with travelers Sicily’s extraordinary natural beauty, with a special focus on the Madonie Regional Natural Park.

Laetitia Bourget is French, with Italian origins. She always loved Italy and decided in 2008 to move to the Bel Paese. Laetitia instantly fell in love with the beauty of Sicily — especially the Madonie Natural Park. She is passionate about butterflies, photography and… Sicilian food! Laetitia now lives in Castelbuono. She speaks perfect Italian, English, Spanish and, of course, French. She lived for several years in Bruxelles and Madrid.

Mario Cicero is from Castelbuono, Sicily. He has been a nature guide since 2002. Mario is passionate about the unique natural bounty of animal and plant life and he loves nothing more than sharing his knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm with guests.

Mario speaks good English, French, and Spanish, and he is also a manna producer. Manna is harvested from the local ash trees; please click on the link to learn more.
