This natural caves hike in the Madonie Mountains allows guests to explore a very interesting geological area where the limestone shelters natural caves as well as fossils of corals and other forms of life that populated the sea million years ago.
With the help of your expert local guide, you will learn things you’d never find in the guide books, see things you’d never discover on your own. The itinerary includes two small caves that are easily accessible and a pit cave (we will remain on the edge, behind the security fence). The hike offers beautiful panoramic views over the lower part of the Madonie Mountains, Castelbuono, and the Thyrrenian coast.
You will meet your guide in Castelbuono (Province of Palermo) at 9:00 am.
If you aren’t sure where this is, don’t worry, as you will be provided with a map indicating the meeting point when you book. You can always contact us to ask for more information. Each guest will then reach the starting point of the trail in their own vehicle.
