Discover the fascinating world of butterflies in the heart of the Madonie — one of the most biodiverse parts of Sicily. The Madonie Natural Park shelters about 100 species of day butterflies and some of them are rare local endemisms — such as parnassius apollo siciliae, hesperia comma hemipallida, and polyommatus daphnis pallidecolor.
This Madonie butterfly tour begins with a short and easy butterfly watching initiation where you will learn how to recognize some of the main families, how to take the best photos, and how to use the net and the butterfly watching binoculars. Then you will have the opportunity to practice your new skills by immediately taking part in butterfly monitoring activities with our expert nature guide.

If you aren’t sure where this is, don’t worry, as you will be provided with a map indicating the meeting point when you book. You can always contact us to ask for more information. Each guest will then reach the starting point of the trail in their own vehicle. We do not drive you there.
