The Madonie Park is vast (nearly 40.000 hectares) and this guided tour has been designed to allow all nature lovers to easily reach, explore and enjoy some of its most beautiful nature sites. It is a road trip with breathtaking panoramic views, stops in very special places and easy short walks to get immersed into the Madonie fascinating sceneries.
In every season, the local nature will offer us a unique experience, from wild flowers in spring, butterflies in summer, stunning colors in autumn and snow-capped mountain tops in winter.
We will go through geological sites which are shrines of exceptional biodiversity, stop at places that shelter incredible stories of shepherds and bandits, meet one of the oldest trees of the Madonie and stand in front of a cliff which hosts a couple of golden eagles. From July to November, we will have the opportunity to meet some of the last traditional shepherds.
You will meet your guide at 9:30 am at Portella Colla (Territory of Polizzi Generosa, Province of Palermo).
