Let’s recognize it: part of Sicily’s charm is… its food!
Embark on an exclusive private culinary experience in a unique location, on the top of a hill overlooking the Madonie Mountains and the small town of Castelbuono. Together with Mario, a trained cook who decided 20 years ago to dedicate his life to nature, you will dive into the flavors of the traditional Sicilian cooking.
After picking on the spot the aromatics you will need, you will cook open air a meal composed of 1 apetizer, 1 antipasti, 1 primo or secondo and 1 dessert. After the class, you will enjoy a well deserved lunch with all the dishes you’ve prepared.
We’ve selected for you some tasty (and not too difficult) recipes which belong to Sicily’s traditional family dishes and that you will hardly ever eat in a restaurant. This will really be an immersion into authentic Sicily.
The menu will vary according to the season so that we use the best ingredients and will be adjusted according to your tastes or specific diet (vegetarian, intolerances or allergies).
Example of menu:
– bruschetta – the star of any Italian aperitivo
– peppers in sweet and sour – so tasty and so Sicilian
– Nonna’s egg balls – an emblematic family dish
– cubaita – a Sicilian nougat from the Arab times
