If you would like to spend time in nature with your kids during your holidays in Sicily, this tour is for you. Our nature guides have designed this special family excursion, easy and enjoyable both for children and adults.
The trail is suitable for kids from 5 years old and goes through one of the most beautiful woods of the Madonie Park, with many monumental trees and full of biodiversity. You will have fun with our English-speaking nature guide looking for fascinating plants, animals paws or fossils that will reveal the secrets of nature. We will also learn about the woods inhabitants through games and quizzes.
We will stop at a picturesque pagliaio (shepherd’s hut) for a snack with the best local biscuits and we will discover the art of origami with a few easy foldings. We will also explore the nearby fairy tales-like giant hollies wood. The whole family will be wowed by the beauty of this place and immersed by the stories of local bandits and shepherds.
At the end of the tour, each child will receive a coloring poster that represents the places we will have just been through.
If your kids are eight years or older, you may prefer our Giant holly trees hike. For ten year and older, we also recommend our Natural caves hike.
You will meet your guide in Castelbuono (Province of Palermo) at 9:30 am.
If you aren’t sure where it is, don’t worry, as you will be provided with a map indicating the meeting point when you book. Each guest will then follow the guide in their own vehicle until the starting point of the trail (15 min). If you don’t have a car, please contact us.
